Jeremy Corbyn
Jeremy Corybn has been involved in politics since the age of 25 when he was elected a councillor before becoming MP for Islington North in 1983. We were delighted to see him win his seat for Islington North once more, in July’s General Election. As an independent MP, he continues his hard work in fighting for peace, and against injustice. He remains the politician for the people and we love him and his shoes.
Jeremy has been a Small Steps Project supporter since 2014, when he visited our offices and met the team to find out more about our work, he has also attended our events and even donated his shoes at Glastobury Festival, after addressing a huge crowd at the Pyramid stage.
Jeremy says, “I’ve supported the work of Small Steps Project for several years, I hope that by donating my shoes it will raise funds and awareness for children living in inhumane conditions on landfill sites.”
