Nitin Sawhney

Nitin Sawhney is an award winning producer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ, with a body of work encompassing music, screen, theatre and dance. His distinctive genre defying blend of  jazz, blues, electronica, rock, flamenco and classical Indian music makes him one of the most original musical voices around.

Nitin has recorded over 20 studio albums and composed 50 plus film scores including The Namesake, Midnight’s Children, Breathe and the Jungle Book. He’s collaborated with Paul McCartney, Sting, Akram Khan, Antony Gormley, Jeff Beck, and regular Small Steps donor, Andy Serkis.

In  2017  he  received  the  Ivor  Novello  Lifetime  Achievement in recognition of his exceptional creative talent.
