Cyndi Lauper

The inimitable singer, songwriter and  LGBT activist Cyndi Lauper burst into the charts with her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual and rose to fame with a string of pop hits including Girls Just Want to Have Fun, Time After Time and True Colors.

In 2016 she picked up two Olivier Awards for the West End production of Kinky Boots, a musical for which she wrote the songs and garnered six Tony awards in the US  three years earlier.
