Tom Waits

Tom Wait’s voice was once described as sounding “like it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months, and then taken outside and run over with a car.”

One of the most original and uncompromising artists around Waits fuses vaudeville tunes, blues, jazz, folk and rock sung in his distinctive gruff, voice, accompanied by piano, guitar, string and various clattering objects.

Wait’s albums include Bone Machine, Mule Variations (both awarded Grammys), Rain Dogs, Blue Valentine and One From the Heart.
